Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Shadow Companion, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Shadow Companion is an AI-guided reflection service operated by True Path Consulting Australia (ABN 76 442 507 308). If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the service.

Description of Service

Shadow Companion provides AI Chat, Journals, Dreams, Journey reflections, Psychological Landscape, Protective Archetypes, Developmental Archetypes, Pattern Reports, Weekly Integrations, Daily Koans, Map of Consciousness, and other AI-generated insights designed to support personal reflection and growth. The service is available on the web and through the Android app.

Accounts and Authentication

You may create an account using Google Sign-In or Email Sign-In. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for activity carried out through it. Subscription status is restored automatically when appropriate, and Android users may also use Restore Purchases for an eligible Google Play Subscription.

24-hour Taster

New users receive a one-time free 24-hour Taster with Premium / Unlimited Access. The 24-hour Taster begins when activated, does not require payment, does not automatically become a paid subscription, and ends automatically after 24 hours. When it ends, continued Premium / Unlimited Access requires an active subscription or another valid access entitlement.

Subscriptions and Payments

Shadow Companion offers recurring subscriptions for Premium / Unlimited Access. Platform-specific terms apply:

• Android: purchases are processed through Google Play Billing. The price, billing period, eligibility for any Google Play Free Trial, and the date paid billing begins are shown by Google Play before you confirm. A Google Play Subscription renews automatically unless cancelled through Google Play before renewal
• Web: where a web subscription remains available, payment is processed through Stripe. The price, billing period, and any introductory offer are shown at checkout. Web subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before renewal
• Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period, and access continues until then unless the payment provider states otherwise
• Deleting the app or your Shadow Companion account does not cancel a Google Play Subscription

Free Trial

A Google Play Free Trial, if displayed and if you are eligible, is a subscription offer separate from the 24-hour Taster. Unless you cancel through Google Play before the Free Trial ends, the Google Play Subscription automatically converts to paid recurring billing at the price and frequency shown by Google Play. Eligibility and offer availability are determined by Google Play.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Shadow Companion to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
• Interfere with the operation of the service
• Use the service for purposes other than personal reflection and inner work
• Reproduce, redistribute, or resell any part of the service
• Submit unlawful, abusive, infringing, or malicious content, or attempt to bypass safety, security, or access controls

AI-Guided Reflection Disclaimer

Shadow Companion uses artificial intelligence to generate responses and insights based on user content. AI-generated insights may be inaccurate, incomplete, unexpected, or unsuitable for your circumstances and should be considered thoughtfully rather than treated as fact. Shadow Companion does not provide medical or psychological diagnosis and is not a substitute for professional therapy, counselling, medical advice, or mental health treatment. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, contact a qualified professional or emergency service in your area.

Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of the original content you submit. You grant us the limited rights needed to host, process, analyse, and display that content to operate and improve Shadow Companion. The Shadow Companion branding, design, software, prompts, curated materials, and service content remain the property of True Path Consulting Australia or its licensors. AI-generated output may not be unique, and rights in that output may vary under applicable law.

Account Suspension and Termination

You may stop using Shadow Companion or delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary to address serious or repeated breaches of these terms, unlawful use, security risks, non-payment, or harm to the service or other users. Terms that by their nature should continue after termination remain in effect.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, True Path Consulting Australia shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Shadow Companion. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of Shadow Companion after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of Shadow Companion shall be resolved under Australian jurisdiction.
