Refund Policy

Subscription Cancellations
You may cancel your Shadow Companion premium subscription at any time. When you cancel:
- Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period
- You will not be charged for any subsequent billing cycles
- You retain access to premium AI-guided reflection features until the billing period ends
To cancel, use the "Manage Subscription" option in your account settings or contact us directly.
Subscription Refunds
Because Shadow Companion provides immediate access to AI-guided reflection upon subscription, refunds are generally not provided for completed billing periods. However, we assess refund requests on a case-by-case basis and may offer a refund if:
- You experienced a technical issue that prevented you from using the service
- You were charged in error or experienced a duplicate payment through Stripe
- You request a refund within 48 hours of your initial subscription and have not used premium features
Top-Up Purchases
One-time top-up message purchases are non-refundable once the additional messages have been credited to your account. Top-up messages expire at the end of your current billing cycle.
How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, please contact us at gilesholmer@yahoo.com with:
- The email address associated with your account
- The date and amount of the charge
- The reason for your refund request
All Stripe payments are processed securely. Approved refunds will be returned to your original payment method and typically appear within 5–10 business days.
Account Access
If you are having trouble accessing your subscription after payment, try using the member login or restore access feature before requesting a refund. You can sign in with Google authentication or restore access using the email address associated with your Stripe subscription.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
